Some hate their work, some have a fondness for it. I'm in the latter. People who tell you that 'magical currents' were only the reserve of Austin Osman Spare and Crowley are limited in their understanding of a 'current'. Spiritual entities and the soul/self/THE I/mind-NOUS who are 'sympathetic' to one another cause vision/gnosis in the mortal and cause another rung to be reached " ascensum caelestes" for the spirit. Addendum:
People are taught that the unfamiliar and the so called 'hideous', should be avoided. This is a useless belief. For example, would you avoid your child because of developmental disability, a dying relative, or a funeral (some would because of poor manners, terrible 'home-training' (as we say in the Southern US). This is the problematic parts of popularity, economic/political 'principles' and human views of 'major religions' (scriptures usually advise against discrimination on 'looks'/then 'oppositionally' declare it to be normal at times-however oppositional/contrast thinking has it's spiritual purpose) . There is no validity for believing more so in beautiful people or spirits appearances, only in the truth, are 'they' mutually helpful or unhelpful (beneficial or unbeneficial, terms that harbor a 'value' judgment, unfortunately). 'Ugly' and helpful is more of a benefit than, 'beautiful' and dangerous. Folktales are the best example of this belief, spirits appear in an 'unpleasing' form to see how the human will treat them. If they receive respect then they may 'turn into a pleasing form' and spiritually 'reward', you for being measured and decent...
