Church and Cathedral

Many Wiccans and Neo-pagans will tell you Witches (Hexe) don't go to church.  This is a new-age concept and 19th century fantasy - folklore concept.  Witches did and do go to Church, in the medieval period to the present.  In the South, they still do.  There is an old reason(s) for this and we won't explain, but you can piece it together from the posts.  Southern Baptists have church on Wednesday Night and Friday Night, to counteract witchcraft (from the 19th century- The days Witches could see and hear more clearly (long - distance).  So actual practice, folklore, word of mouth is quite different from pseudo-histories.  As we have pointed out before, a witch was detected in a 19th century, Baptist Church in Tennessee because she was seen communing with black spirits.
