La Tapatia Tienda and Restaurant
If you are ever in Middle Tennessee (Monterey, Interstate Exit 330?) please visit La Tapatia. It is a Restaurant and Shop (Tienda). The food is fresh and you'll need a nap after because you get such a large plate full of food. The Salsa Verde is an in-house recipe and you'll want a ton! The shop has beautiful ceramic Saints statues, Santissima Muerta/Saints candles, herbs, fresh groceries, Siete Machos cologne (first time we have seen it sold in Tennessee). The owner and staff are friendly and check on you often to see if you need anything, great service. Siete Machos is used by Brujo/Bruja ('Witches') to 'wake' and 'power' charms, much like 'witch hazel (Hammaelis extract or flowers) are used in Kentucky and Tennessee to render power to a charm. 'Siete Machos' smells a bit better, though.
