"Foul" old words Fair Sorcery

In the Upland South, a rare old joke is told by a Kentucky miner's grandson.  An Old Man used to yell out 'HA!' when he was digging.  The Old Woman, said why do ye holler (yell) HA! when ye (you) dig!  The Old Man said, to make it go deeper!  The Old Man and Old Woman were having 'relations' and SHE screamed 'Holler HA, Holler HA!!!"


In Tantrik practice HA! is one of the words of creation.  In 19th century Yorkshire, HA! Karrinder, was a sort of 'Invocation'.  The Cultus Sabbati (born of Essex) uses HA Azha!  One can interpret the potential of the word in 'that which cannot be named'...
