The Inconsistencies of a Human Identity

I haven't posted in a while, as this has been and is a 'transitional period'.

I'd like to point out two philosophical views.  One is that spirits are believed to be repelled by human inconsistency or infidelity.  The other is that humans have a cyclical nature, often to their detriment.

Rev. Robert Kirk (The Scottish Folklorist) said that the inhabitants of Elphame/Elfame were angered by infidelity (the inability of people to keep secrets and to be consistent).  I'd like to point out that this why people are so happy about their superiority in the world (a glamour, if you will).  People think they have overcome nature (once again) because they have a few tech gadgets.   I hesitate to call it technology, because it does not advance our bodies, food supply, the problem of limited resources, etc.  It is gadgetry, pure and simple, not technology.  I.e. Farming was technology as it started civilization and some stability.  However, more and more people are convinced that they have no betters in a spirit world or that there is even a world of spirits, at all, because they have pc's, tablets, belief in UFO's and cell phones (thus the irritation and justified anger of spiritual entities who wish humans would disappear).  Sounds a bit Cthuhlu story, but myth, folklore and legend states it as a possibility.  I  also find it difficult to relate to a population of people who deem themselves logical when they speak of 'aliens', and the disdain of philosophy, belief, faith, religion and how they supposedly love Science.  If you love science, which I do, you will notice that religion promoted science, with a few exceptions.  Gregor Mendel was a monk who did studies on genetics.  Ireland was run by monks in the 'dark ages', one of the few places in Europe to go to get a literary, scientific and theological education after the collapse of the 'Roman Empire'.  Hinduism promoted the study of phytochemical medicines and early chemistry (Ayurvedic).  Taoism promoted the same sciences.  However, Physics does not bear out the possibility of living beings travelling 26,000 years to another planet.  It does prove that energy cannot be destroyed.  Calories (food intake) are energy, just as synaptic impulses are electrical/ chemical energy in the human brain (energy).  Yet the dead are regarded as simple worm food, scientific only in the fact that some decay is inevitable, even in mummified bodies.

People repeat the same nuisance behaviors year after year.  I will give you an example: Revolution.  One 'Hero' comes and promises everyone will be equal, then fails his/her expectations and seeks only to advance their own power.  Then another faction does the same to counter the revolutionary dictator, then again.  People declare a new day then let the wealthy cheat them out of a life, again.  People let politicians/kings/dictators scare them into war.  The list goes on forever.  So the point is that people never do well, so it's a possibility that spirits influence events to the detriment  of humans, because we keep doing the same incredibly stupid things, whilst touting our superiority.

There is also a secret here in plain sight to get the help, gnosis and friendship of certain spirits.  Then again, I'm just an idiot who believes in souls, ghosts, spirits, greater spirits, etc...  It has also been pointed out by extremely wise people that 'ugly or hideous' apparitions are not a sign of evil.  People often erroneously view 'beauty' as 'good/helpful' and 'ugly' as baneful/unhelpful.  I.e.  unhelpful appears as an 'Angel of Light',  An old 'Hag' who is showed kindness gives rewards (European folklore),  A 'lame' man who is a font of wisdom, 'Our Lady' crying tears of Blood, etc.
