Cocteau Twins - Peppermint Pig (12")  


A Peppermint Pig is a pink coloured candy shaped like a Pig.  In New England, the 'pig' is given as a gift during the Christmas season for good luck and abundance.  It's ('the pig') is taken out of the box and smashed with a hammer and the 'bits' are shared.  Like any old tradition, few people probably bother with getting a Peppermint Pig.  They are still made in the North-Eastern U.S., in the South, red and white swirl circular disc peppermints are still given.
