Ritually influenced music...I know him personally and the themes within the music have to do with the Genii Loci (Spirits of place-which are not exclusive to rural areas, I know this personally) of the city, the healing and revelatory nature of sleep, hence the name.  Also, the thin distinctions of sleep, meditative, trance and the waking/wake world.
